History

Boringwheel Lake covers an area of around four and a half acres and dates back to medieval times. It was originally dug to power a mill which bored the canons of the British fleet. Subsequently it was used to power a grain mill which still exists next door at Boringwheel Mill Farm and which has been undergoing renovation to get it working again.
